FROM STUDENTS

Excellent Teacher
This is my first time playing the piano and I was a little timid about taking lessons. Janet is very easy-going and extremely cognizant of my abilities which has helped me to feel more relaxed and I have been able to learn a great deal from her. I am pleasantly surprised by how much I have been able to pick up in such a short time. She is a wonderful teacher.    Kim M.

I highly recommend Mrs. Page. I feel everyone would benefit from their time at the Fine Arts Music School. The teaching method has been a success for me & I feel that I’ve learned new things each time I go to class. If I’m confused I ask questions because I know Mrs. Page is always willing to help me & she has a lot of patience.
My knowledge of music & its history has been enriched & magnified so much over the years. And my love of music has grown in tremendous ways.
When I play at concerts I feel comfortable. We enjoy hearing each other play & just have fun doing so. We are truly a family.
I love how I’m able to play the piano & entertain people. I also like to play for myself as well as for my dog who loves the piano.
Mrs. Page is a great teacher to work w/ & very smart too. She’s taught me so much other then piano. She’s been a great teacher & also a friend.

Would highly recommend the Fine Arts Music School.  Instruction is tailored to the individual, be it a young child or a very mature adult as myself.  The instructor, Janet Page, has dedicated her life to music, and piano in particular, and this comes across in each and every lesson.  The annual recital in May has all the students performing and it always amazing how well everyone plays.

Working mom...
Janet is a wonderful teacher! She has patience with the children, and knows how to correct them so they are learning without feeling frustrated. Thank you!

FROM PUBLIC PERFORMANCES

Dear Janet:

“On behalf of the patients and their guests I would like to say a warm and sincere “Thank
You”--to you and all the performers who made the program yesterday at Burke
Rehabilitation Hospital possible.
It was evident how much care was put into this concert, and the efforts resulted in a most enjoyable program. There was a nice balance in the selection of music. Even the beautiful printed programs contributed to the afternoon’s success.”
Joanne Auerbach, CTRS
Therapeutic Recreation Director

“On behalf of Burke Rehabilitation Hospital and our patients, I would like to thank you for your outstanding presentation here on Sunday. Your professionalism and dedication resulted in a high-quality performance that was enjoyed by over 50 patients and their visitors.
I heard much praise from people as they exited the performance. A hearty thanks to your students, who are both talented and gracious enough to spend their Sunday afternoon with us. I feel that the balance between classical and crowd participation pieces kept everyone attentive and interested in what would be next.”

“On behalf of the patients and visitors who attended your October 25th performance at Burke Rehabilitation Hospital, I would like to thank you again. Your students provided them with a wonderful, uplifting experience. Seeing young people putting their energy into positive deeds is very inspiring.”

“On behalf of the Burke patients, families and Therapeutic Recreation Department, I would like to thank each of you for your gracious presentation here on Sunday,  It was a pleasure for all who attended to be able to enjoy your individual pieces, performances and personalities. The blend of classical, ragtime and popular music suited our patient population perfectly and left everyone beaming.
It is always a treat to see and hear the talented, local youth as they interpret favorites from the past and present. I know many of our patients particularly enjoy the young performers as they have loved ones of a similar age. The adults were an inspiration and a very well practiced. We thought everyone was as polished and poised as professional musicians. We are so grateful for the hard work and dedication each of you brought to your time here at Burke. Again, it was a wonderful experience for the eyes and ears. Thank you again and we hope to see you next year!”
